We are on the lookout for an experienced Field Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for our Class 8 trucks. This role involves working closely with dealers, customers, and internal teams to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic, mechanical and electrical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering top-tier customer service.

Responsibilities

* Technical Support:

* Provide on-site and remote technical support to dealers and customers for Class 8 trucks.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and software issues.

* Assist in the resolution of complex technical problems and escalate issues when necessary.

* Customer Interaction:

* Act as a liaison between the OEM, dealers, and customers to ensure clear communication and effective problem resolution.

* Conduct training sessions for dealer technicians and customers on the operation and maintenance of Class 8 trucks.

* Provide feedback and coaching to Dealer partners on effective handling of repair process

* Gather and relay customer feedback to the engineering and product development teams.

* Documentation and Reporting:

* Maintain detailed records of service calls, technical issues, and resolutions.

* Prepare and submit reports on common issues, service trends, and customer feedback.

* Contribute to the development and updating of technical manuals and service bulletins.

* Field Visits:

* Travel to dealer locations and customer sites and to provide hands-on support and training.

* Conduct regular field inspections to ensure compliance with OEM standards and identify areas for improvement.

* Continuous Improvement:

* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and service delivery.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

* Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

* Experience:

* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a field support or technical support role, preferably within the heavy-duty truck or automotive industry.

* In-depth knowledge of Class 8 truck systems, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical/electronic components.

* Skills:

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Excellent Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Willingness to travel frequently.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift and move heavy components and equipment.

* Comfortable working in various environments, including workshops, dealerships, and customer sites.
