Location: Santa Barbara, CA 93105
Position: Field Support Technician
Pay Rate: $28 -30/hr.
Duration: 13 weeks - potenital to exted
Expected Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm, 40hrs/week
JOB SUMMARY:
The Field Services Technician installs, diagnoses, repairs, maintains and upgrades PC hardware, software, operating systems, mobile devices, clinical devices & applications, devices and peripherals to ensure optimal workstation performance. In addition, the Field Services Technician will perform routine operational tasks and project work, performs regular maintenance
support duties as directed and participates in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment. To provide technical support of the microcomputer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment utilized.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years experience years direct experience in microcomputer hardware and software operation,
management, and repair
2+ years experience working with computers hands on/in field
- Experience with customer service and great communication skills
Preferred:
- Network + certification
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Executes work requests for microcomputer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
needs initiated by end users. This may include assigning tasks to microcomputer technicians,
performing installations, end user training.
Percentage of time: 70%
2. Defines and coordinates preventative maintenance activities related to microcomputers.
Percentage of time: 10%
3. Assists in the definition and coordination of microcomputer configuration standards.
Percentage of time: 10%
4. Maintains an inventory of all microcomputer equipment, including peripheral devices.
Percentage of time: 5%
