Field Technicians manage on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. They identify and troubleshoot technical issues to find effective solutions and are responsible for providing exceptional service and customer support, both during dispatch and while on-site at job locations.

Essential Functions

* Troubleshoots, maintains, and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure optimal working condition on the job site or in the shop

* Utilize company-provided systems and tools to efficiently document and manage work orders and sourcing parts/supplies for repairs/maintenance.

* Complete basic computer tasks including work orders, parts lookup, and email communication.

* Collaborate with coworkers to ensure top-quality equipment, exceed customer expectations.

* Deliver outstanding service and support during field visits or dispatches maintaining positive relationships.

* Understand customer requirements/expectations and provide appropriate recommendations and briefings.

* Report any unsafe or unserviceable shop tools, equipment, or vehicles to the Manager, and ensure that all tools are maintained in optimal condition, adhering to MSHA and OSHA regulations.

* Participate in training programs directed by the Manager.

* Align workflow with scheduling requirements.

* Operate vehicles safely and use field automation systems effectively.

* Follow all company procedures and protocols.

* Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.

* Must be able and willing to help train and assist other technicians in need of assistance

Required Education and Experience:

* Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment

* Must have own tools

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

* Proficiency in basic computer tasks, including work order management, parts lookup, and email communication.

* Ability to work independently and efficiently in both shop and field environments

* Strong communication skills and dedication to customer service.

* Adaptability for schedule adjustments and flexible hours based on operational needs.

Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

* None

Work Environment

* Environment is consistent with that of a construction environment and equipment yard

* Outdoor exposure to elements

Travel Required

* Position may require several hours of driving daily to job sites

Physical Demands

* Must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extensive periods to include lifting to 50lbs or more, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching.
