Our organization, a dynamic player in the Biotech industry, is seeking a part-time Consulting Field Technician. This unique role combines the technical aspects of agriculture with the precision of accounting and finance, providing an exciting opportunity for those looking to blend these disciplines. The successful candidate will have a background in crop tagging, pollination, and agriculture, with at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Field Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting field visits to assess, document, and report on the condition of crops and agricultural practices, utilizing your expertise in crop tagging and pollination.Applying your knowledge of plant science to analyze and interpret agricultural data, contributing to the decision-making process.Assisting in the development of strategies and plans for crop production based on budgetary constraints and financial goals.Providing technical advice and guidance on agricultural practices to support financial planning and forecasting.Collaborating with various teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to ensure alignment of agricultural practices with financial objectives.Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in both agriculture and finance/accounting, and applying this knowledge to your role.Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in both the agriculture and finance/accounting sectors.Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
A minimum of 0 years of experience in a role combining agriculture or a related field.Demonstrated expertise in crop tagging, pollination, and other agricultural practices.Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge to agricultural contexts.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex agricultural data and translate it into financial terms.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.A degree in Agriculture, Finance, Accounting, or a related field would be a significant asset.Ability to travel to various field locations as required.Proficiency in using agricultural and financial software and technologies.If you are passionate about agriculture and finance/accounting, and are looking for a challenging role that will allow you to make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you.
