Job Title: Filler OperatorJob DescriptionThe Filler Operator is responsible for completing assigned production duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Filler Operator performs all required setup, operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting requirements on production equipment, while following standard operating procedures. This role supports the manufacture of dairy-related products.ResponsibilitiesAchieve assigned goals in the areas of production, safety, quality, performance, and cost.Operate assigned filling equipment, including setup, prestart, startup, operation, shutdown, and cleaning, in accordance with standard operating procedures.Troubleshoot equipment in accordance with established procedures.Notify others of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities, and identify areas where operators can assist in resolving concerns.Perform CIP processes, including chemical input, temperature, and time controls for CIP, and monitor COP to include manual washing of equipment, COP tank, and equipment setup.Maintain production schedule, meet order expectations, monitor variances, and report out-of-specifications.Clear any jam-ups and restore production line operation.Comply with GMP's, SOP's, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.Utilize inventory control system to ensure proper updating of inventory and to look up necessary details.Perform product quality control checks on an ongoing basis.Support all areas in the production facility as assigned by supervisor/lead and begin to train and build competence in key areas such as fillers, forklifts, and production lines.Gain competence in online circuits and learn proper hookups in the facility.Cover breaks and lunches and other staffing needs as assigned by supervisor/lead.Comply with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety on assigned shift and report concerns to supervisor/lead.Work in a safe manner, report safety concerns promptly to supervisor/lead, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.Report food safety problems and initiate action, supporting SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality.Ensure direct reports' duties and responsibilities are covered during planned and unplanned absences, including acting as a backup as necessary.Ensure work areas are sanitary and strictly adhere to sanitation practices.Communicate effectively between shifts and other departments.Essential SkillsAbility to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and knowledge of weights and measures.Read, write, and communicate using the English language sufficiently to perform job functions.Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, goals, and your role in achieving each of them.Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned areas.Satisfactorily complete all company training requirements.Ability to interpret company documents and literature and UPC/code information.Additional Skills & QualificationsSpecial language skills preferred when there is a business need.Why Work Here?We offer a unique work schedule where you only need to work 15 days a month.
