Final Detail Technician
: Job Details :

Responsibilities:

• Wash and clean the boats.
• Ensure the boat is detailed.
• Prep boat for delivery.
• Final inspection prior to delivery.
• Inspect completed boats for defects.
• Stripping, caulk, strip, and etch boat.
• Communicate with production leads on necessary rework.
• Detail boats to Freeman standards.
• Responsible for cleanliness of your work area at all times.
• Perform final finish/detail on all types of boats, including cleaning windows, upholstery, canvas, isinglass, bilges, fiberglass.
• Removing dust, grease and oil from exterior surfaces of boats.
• Use of high speed buffers and polishers to properly detail the exterior surface.
• All other duties as might be required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of marine systems and operations.
• Previous experience in a detailing role.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of proper products for safe detailing of vessels properly including but not limited to cleaners for various surfaces, degreasers, and waxes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with others.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines.

Physical Demands:

• Bending, kneeling (squatting), lifting, and twisting continuously throughout the day.
• Being able to stand/walk for up to or if not longer 8 hours each day.
• Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs, traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis.
• Vision protection and closed-toed shoes are required. Hearing protection may be required.
