Job Title: Finance Assistant (Inventory Accounting)

Salary: Circa 35,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
* Engaging and collaborating with key Business Area Finance leads in completing Inventory financial forecasts in support of operating plans (annual budget), quarterly business reviews, 5-year integrated business plans and challenging key assumptions to establish robust forecasts
* Providing support to and challenge budget holders to help deliver on their financial commitments by tracking performance and providing insightful commentary to facilitate decision-making
* Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of the business risks/opportunities
* Providing accurate Inventory management information on a timely basis
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Prior accounting experience including reconciliations, forecasting and budgets
* Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
* Good attention to detail and ability to swiftly analyse numerical data
* Strong Excel skills, Power BI knowledge
Desirable:
* Experience within Cost Base Accounting particularly around Inventory Control
* Commenced or obtained CIMA qualification
* Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems (or equivalent) and Hyperion

The Finance team:
As a member of our small, close-knit team, you'll collaborate closely with both the internal project finance and operations teams to implement improvements and changes across our finance systems. This role offers significant opportunities for development and progression, with potential career growth within the wider finance teams in Rochester. You'll receive support for further qualifications and report directly to the Assistant Financial Controller. Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll gain a comprehensive overview of the business, enhancing your exposure and understanding of project finance and operations.
