Finance Budget Specialist
**POSITION DETAILS**
Bronx Community College is located on a tranquil, 44-acre historic campus in the University Heights section of the Bronx, one of the five vibrant boroughs of New York City. Established in 1957 and relocated to its current location in 1973, the College currently serves about 8,000 students and employs more than 700 full time employees. The College is seeking an experienced finance professional to support the college's budget operations while fostering a climate reflective of the College's core values of respect, integrity, collaboration, innovation, quality and sustainability.
Reporting to the Finance Budget Director, the Finance Budget Specialist's duties include the CUNY Title Overview as well as, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Supports the Finance Budget Director with the operations associated with internal controls, the annual budget process and other financial functions.
+ Assists with developing the college's multi-year financial plan and ongoing financial updates.
+ Prepares, analyzes and maintains monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial reports, as required.
+ Assists with the monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end close and expense reconciliation processes, including collaborating with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and other college departments external to the Business Office.
+ Supports the Finance Budget Director in preparing reports for college stakeholders and the university's central offices.
+ Assists in developing and maintaining the budget department's policies and procedures manual and coordinates the regular update of the Budget Department's website.
+ Participates in special projects and other duties, as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**

**CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW**
Coordinates budget matters for a program or department under management direction.
- Plans and develops annual budgets under direction; administers allocation and reconciliation of funds
- Prepares budget analyses and produces forecasting projections
- Analyzes spending, income trends and usage to recommend improvements
- Ensures that final, approved budget is adhered to by tracking revenues and expenses; processes budget transfers and adjustments
- Provides fiscal reports and financial statements to management
- Supports supervisor with budget administration to meet department goals and objectives
- May supervise subordinate staff
- Performs related duties as assigned.
