Position Overview

IH&S seeks a Finance Director to support the Life Science Optics business. The position is responsible for the overall P&L management, direction, and integrity of the accounting, finance, systems, and financial reporting functions for IDEX Health & Science Life Science Optics business.

The Director actively partners with the LSO General Manager, IH&S VP Finance, and other IH&S finance leadership in the planning, direction, and policy implementation for the business. The leader will provide strategic and technical leadership to assure adequate control environment; guidance to achieve sustainable and profitable growth; and communicates and supports the strategic and operational plans of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead an aggressive monthly business rhythm, providing accurate financial results and forecast updates to Corporate.
  • Review and summarize monthly consolidated financial results, oversees and provides direction on accounting theory and IDEX policy.
  • Responsible for annual operating plan process, monthly forecasting/reporting, and supports strategic planning.
  • Responsible for asset preservation and working capital management.
  • Develop and implement a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance throughout the organization.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Operations and staff in managing the manufacturing unit's efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage talent by selecting, training, motivating, and developing the finance operations staff.

    • Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible accounting and leadership experience.
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced PC/ERP/Database experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of SOX requirements.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

    The compensation range for this position is $134,400.00 - $201,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.
