Reports To: Executive Director Department: Finance Work Location: In Office (DC Headquarters) Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority. Position Summary: The National Finance Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at the DCCC and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Finance Department staff and external fundraising consultants, as well as planning and implementation of all events and solicitations resulting in high-dollar individual, PAC and Member dues donations to the organization and Democratic House candidates. To do this, the National Finance Director works closely in partnership with the Democratic Leaders finance team to develop a strategic cycle fundraising plan built upon monthly and quarterly goals. They engage with the Chair, Democratic Leader, and SLT, as well as the committees finance advisors and consultants, to communicate progress and make any course corrections to ensure the funds needed to win the House majority are secured. Regular travel is required. Responsibilities Include: Hiring and day-to-day management of the DCCC Finance department employees and budget; Develop, in conjunction with the Democratic Leaders finance team, the committees finance consultants and the Executive Director (ED), a fundraising plan and goals for the cycle; Closely track projections, progress to goals, and allocation of funds to the committees various accounts; Provide information and advice to the ED, Chair, and Leader on ideas for new revenue streams and any emerging dynamics in the donor and fundraising space; Use analytics and donor insights to refine and target fundraising strategies, ensuring a personalized approach to donor engagement; Ensure the operations, compliance, accounting and legal departments have any and all documentation needed to be in full and timely compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations around campaign finance; Manage the planning and execution of specialty National events including the Chairs Weekend, and in partnership with the Leaders team, the Leaders Weekend; Partner, in conjunction with the Deputy Finance Director, Democratic Leaders finance team, the Chair and ED, on fundraising plans and goals for the Finance department to raise for Frontline Members and Red to Blue candidates throughout the cycle; Other duties as needed to ensure the success of the DCCCs Finance department and fundraising goals for the cycle; Requirements Skills and Qualifications: A minimum of three cycles fundraising experience, four is preferred; Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage a large staff; applicants without demonstrated successful management experience will not be considered; Experience managing a multi-million dollar budget and finance plans; Experience staffing and supporting high-level principals; Experience and discretion handling high-level donor information and records; Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team and collaborate with a diverse group of donors and many strategic partners; Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to strategic planning and program development; Commitment to electing Democrats and reclaiming the House majority; Draws from team members strengths, empowering them to maximize their talents; contributes where needed to achieve and exceed goals; mentors and guides colleagues with regular feedback and recognition; clearly lays out vision and expectations to the team; Proactively fosters an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion; Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive ways; Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability; Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with Members, candidates, and staff at all levels; Why You Should Work Here: We recognize and reward hard work Learn, develop, and hone professional skills related to running and operating multi-dimensional political campaigns and the operating systems that support the campaigns Experience working with the largest Democratic battlefield, containing numerous highly competitive campaigns in diverse districts across the nation Opportunities to expand your network and engage with policy makers, political candidates, Democratic Party leaders and a diverse team of professionals and colleagues Gain experience in cross-team interaction and exposure to other functions and departments within the DCCC Equity and inclusion are actively integrated into decisions made at Senior Leadership and Department levels regarding hiring, contracting, and political strategy Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision plans with premiums fully paid for by DCCC Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and Life Insurance fully paid for by DCCC More than 25 days of paid time off (which includes federal holidays, time off around the holidays, vacation, and sick days) Paid parental leave Fertility and growing family support with $10,000 subsidiary paid by DCCC Pet Insurance Discount Up to 6% retirement employer match contribution Long-term Disability fully paid for by DCCC Monthly mobile phone stipend Monthly metro benefits (for employers located in the DC metro area only) Gym Access (for employers located in the DC metro area only) Capital Bikeshare Discount (for employers located in the DC metro area only) Employee Assistance Program Employee Resource Groups Diversity Mission Statement: The diversity mission of DCCC is for DCCC to reflect the diversity of the country, which strengthens the core mission of electing House Democrats.
