RIPIN's peer professionals now help more than 45,000 Rhode Islanders every year navigate healthcare, schools, and other support systems.Job Summary:Under the direction of the Fiscal Analyst, the Fiscal Intern will provide support to the finance department. The Fiscal Intern will assist in many finance functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger activities.Essential Functions:•Assist in reconciliation of bank statements, AR, AP, and other financial accounts•Enter financial data, including AR and AP transactions, in accounting software•Provide administrative support to finance staff•Support maintenance of written work instructions for finance team functions•Accept other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:•Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail•Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office/computer skills, specifically Excel, to enter data, prepare reports and correspondence•Strong ability to maintain confidentiality•Excellent written and oral communication skills•Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks•A deep understanding of, commitEducation and Experience:•Preferably pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, or recent graduate•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail•Proficient experience with Microsoft ExcelPhysical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk or hear.

Working Conditions/ Work Environment:
- Primary work location is a climate-controlled indoor office environment; however, may also be required to conduct visits in private homes, climbing up to three flights of stairs, and community locations.
- Flexibility for travel related to job requirements.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Provide own reliable transportation with proof of valid driver's license and RI minimum requirements of auto insurance.
