Hixon Zuercher works with diligent savers who have accumulated significant investment and retirement assets.Finance Intern SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to join the team as a part-time Finance Intern (FI). The FI will have a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the financial services industry while working closely with the wealth and asset management teams.The position is designed to accommodate academic schedules Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM.Position Description & Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Asset Management Team in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, including company reports, market trends, and economic indicators.Support Wealth Management Team with the creation of research reports, presentations, and other materials for client meetings.Prepare deliverables for client meetings by using a portfolio management system and financial planning software.Monitor and track key performance metrics for portfolios and assist in updating financial models.Assist Operations with special projects that support the operations of a wealth management firm.Help maintain and organize research databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Collaborate with team members on various projects related to investment strategies, portfolio management, and market research.Perform administrative assignments as needed to support Asset Management and Operations tasks.QualificationsEducation level: Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.Exposure to Financial Planning, Accounting, or Family-Resource Management is preferred.GPA: 3.0 or higherCommunication skills: Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Computer skills: Proficient understanding of Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Knowledge in any of the following software is a plus, but not required: RedTail CRM, Morningstar Office, MoneyGuide, Box, SweetProcess, and Bloomberg.Organization skills: Must be capable of calendaring, task management, and organization.TermsCompensation: Starts at $15 per hourDuration & Hours: Internships are typically 3 months to 1 year in length. The work schedule and start time will be discussed based on the individual's availability with classes and school breaks.
