The Finance Intern will develop necessary toolsets, financial models, analyze business trends for various growth products, and perform variance analysis as needed. This position reports to VP of Finance.

Major Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and prepares product line budgets/forecasts and designs tools as necessary
  • Conducts research into variances and determines explanations
  • Prepares various monthly and quarterly forecasts and financial models related to corporate financing
  • Identifies performance improvement opportunities
  • Uses Essbase, the data warehouse, and other data sources to identify trends in the business
  • Identifies “best-of-class” processes or techniques to assist improvement of reporting and analysis
  • Conducts research of issues identified in analysis and provides actionable guidance
  • Supports financial analysis needs of the field operations and product managers
  • Assist in preparing presentations for Management, Investors and Board of Directors
  • Performs other related duties as requested from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • 1-3 years related financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis supporting multi-unit operations or retail environment a plus.
  • CFA, CPA or CMA certification a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with Essbase and SQL a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications with all levels of an organization.
  • Must work independently without day-to-day direction and have excellent organizational skills

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position might require long hours and weekend work.
