The Department oversees a broad range of New Mexico's arts and cultural heritage agencies. These include 5 divisions representing a variety of programs and services. Why does the job exist?This position is responsible for directing and managing all fiscal, budget, accounting and audit operations for the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC). How does it get done?The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is dedicated to the preservation, promotion and advancement of Hispanic culture, arts and humanities. The NHCC presents exhibitions, lectures, book readings, performing arts and educational programing that are meaningful to the local community. It offers the Hispanic, Chicano, and Latinx artists a place to present their work and bring it to the national stage. The Finance Manager manages the Finance Bureau and oversees all aspects of financial operations, including Budget, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting, Foundation Support, Capital, and Fixed Assets and Audit pursuant to the policies and procedures set forth by the New Mexico State Statutes; the New Mexico State Purchasing Division; the Department of Finance & Administration; SHARE; and the Department of Cultural Affairs. Minimum QualificationA Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements. Employment RequirementsMust possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Working ConditionsWork is performed in an office setting, extensive use of computer, email, telephones, and copy machines. Requires attending staff meetings, board meetings, and financial committee meetings, and the supervision of two positions. Walking to all venues through-out the campus.
