Job Description:

We are collaborating with a client in the defense sector located in Oklahoma City, who is actively seeking a Finance Manager to join their expanding team. Below are the details of the position:

Primary Function:

This role involves supporting the finance team with tasks related to cost/resource/schedule forecasting, project budgeting, and financial analysis. The position includes overseeing Estimates at Completion (EACs), Earned Value Management (EVM), pricing, and cost proposals. The candidate will also offer guidance to other analysts and take on leadership responsibilities for daily operations and special projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various financial analyses and lead monthly program reviews.
  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), develop pricing models, and contribute to cost volume preparation.
  • Work closely with project managers to create accurate forecasts, schedules, and EACs.
  • Monitor and review program expenditures to ensure correct cost classification and future estimates.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze diverse data sets.
  • Generate and distribute monthly financial reports, including variance and hours analysis.
  • Examine monthly cost variances and prepare management presentations.
  • Support departmental development and suggest process improvements.
  • Participate in the annual budget development and operational planning processes.
  • Manage a team of Analysts to ensure timely and precise work completion.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant financial experience.
  • Proficient understanding of contract types and their regulations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software.
  • Effective in both collaborative and independent work settings.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with project-based accounting.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and cost structures.
  • Familiarity with negotiation and contracting standards.
  • Experience with accounting systems used in government contracting.
