Position Details
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Group. The individual will report to the Division Controller. This position will manage the month-end-close process, revenue recognition, accounts payable, billing process, accounts receivable and collections. The ideal candidate is someone who loves challenging opportunities and thrives in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage the month-end close process for the division with a high focus on the accuracy of financial information and adherence to US GAAP and close timelines
* Coordinate with the corporate accounting team (onshore and offshore) on the month-end close process
* Review customer contracts and liaise with the corporate accounting team on revenue recognition
* Adhere to the close checklist, review and suggest journal entries as needed, and prepare monthly account reconciliations
* Prepare the monthly income statement and balance sheet analytics
* Support the local leadership team with operational and financial requirements
* Collaborate with the financial planning and analysis team on monthly analytics and reporting
* Coordinate with the various corporate teams on accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable and collections
* Partner with clients on reconciling accounts/invoices, as needed
* Create and distribute accurate internal reports to various stakeholders across the organization, as required
* Provide excellent customer service by proactively managing escalated issues and bringing them to resolution
* Maintain a system of effective controls, policies, and procedures over month-end activities
* Collaborate with the internal and external audit teams regarding the financial audit, and group controls testing
* Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in accounting
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA), required
* 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 or more years of supervisory experience
* Combination of Big 4 experience and private industry, preferred
* Experience working in large multinational businesses across multiple geographical entities, preferred
* Experience working in a multi-function shared services and/or offshore environment, a plus
Knowledge and Targeted Competencies
* Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, required
* Strong knowledge of commercial real estate, preferred
* Strong communication and organizational skills as well as impeccable attention to detail
* Ability to work independently, multi-task and handle several deadlines simultaneously
* Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
* Advanced excel skills, required
* Experience with Oracle, Coupa, and FloQast, a plus
