The Finance Operations Coordinator will manage the day-to-day functions of managing cost centers, including submission of orders, monthly reconciliations, and budget transfers for the Office of the Provost and various Academic Affairs units.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and four years of general office, accounting or business related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous experience in higher education, PeopleSoft systems, and familiarity with general accounting principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide training and support to Academic Affairs unit administrators on purchasing and financial transactions.

* Monitor Office of the Provost cost center balances

* Submit orders through eProcurement

* Complete monthly reconciliations

* Assist with the tracking of OneCard expenses

* Assist with the tracking of balances and expenses on special funding sources

* Build and maintain reports for leadership regarding recent expenditures for various Academic Affairs units

* Provide backup support to Business Administrator for Academic Employment and Student Support

* Prepare IDTs, budget journals, and transfers

* Perform other duties as assigned

Remote Work Notice

The position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule after in-person training for an appropriate length of time as determined by the supervisor. Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
