Job Description:

Central State Bank has an immediate opening for a Finance & Operations Specialist at our Cedar Rapids location.

This is a dual role that supports functions in both the accounting and operations areas. The Finance portion includes supporting accounting, reconciliation, financial analysis, and reporting. Our Operations Specialists are responsible for Bank-wide operational support of our front-line customer service staff, finance, and sales support staff. Operations process transactions and maintain the integrity and efficiency of core processing and ancillary systems. Additionally, Operations oversee the production of deposit account documentation and provides staff support by understanding deposit account servicing requirements and digital banking systems.

What You'll Be Doing

· Review and manage daily reporting, exception processing, and reconciliations in both daily operations and financial reporting functions.

· Perform core system review of deposit transactions, system posting, cash transactions, and other deposit-related maintenance.

· Perform accounting duties related to general ledger and accounts payable systems.

· Assist internal customers and teammates with information, problem-solving, or escalation solutions.

· Provide support to the Operations Manager and the Finance Manager by completing various tasks and reports, reviewing reports for accuracy, reconciling accounts, and performing administrative duties as assigned.

· Service customers of the Bank as needed with debit card issues, ACH and wire transfers, and other needs as they arise.

· Identify continuous improvement in creating efficiencies in operations and safeguarding the Bank's assets, while providing top-level customer service to both internal and external customers.

· Perform ancillary support system review, including ordering, maintaining, and actively servicing other product-related requests in support of the front-line service staff.

· Perform compliance-related duties and be cognizant of compliance issues day-to-day.

· Experience in banking, accounting, or bank operations is beneficial.

· Accuracy and attention to detail required.

· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently.
