Job Description
The Specialist International Relocation & Meetings provides Finance and Accounting Shared Services support for Global Meetings and Relocation Services. This includes review of relevant data sources for accuracy and completeness, preparation of month-end close journal entries, and balance sheet account responsibility. Collaborates with business support teams and FP&A to ensure complete and accurate results with meaningful variance commentary. Complies with company policies and US GAAP. Complies with Finance Shared Services and Worldwide Consolidations requirements and deliverables.
Responsibilities
* Partners with Business Services Group to provide support for Meetings & Events accounting; supports Meetings Accounting Processes including Intercompany Billings (ICB's), Balance sheet reconciliation, Journal entries, and management of Meeting Roster.
* Works with BPO (Business Process Office) to ensure accurate accounting for Meetings & Events and supports BPO monthly upload process and preparation of journal entries.
* Prepares Expat, US Domestic, and international assignments accrual journal entries and reconciliations for US and LATAM.
* Prepares Global ICBs to charge relocation expenses along with tax payment allocations, tax refunds, and hypo credits to host cost centers.
* Supports Affiliate FP&A organizations in forecasting Expat & Relocation impacts to financial statements.
* Works closely with AbbVie Talent Deployment and Relocation Service vendors; assists with the integration and alignment of service provider reports to meet company Relocation Accounting Processes.
* Works with external vendors to coordinate cost estimates for Relocation Services.
* Supports Internal, Local & Group audit requirements specific to Expat & Relocation accounts.
* Provides accounting support and input for projects, systems, and process improvement initiatives.
* Supports maintenance of SAP system as needed.
* Performs other ad hoc analysis and support projects as requested.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA preferred but not required.
* Minimum 4+ year's related accounting experience required.
* Ability to work independently and adjust priorities to achieve accurate and timely results.
* Proficient computer skills, including SAP and Excel is required.
