What We Do:Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school specialty enrichment and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft Rangers has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Lifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,000 staff. Role Overview:The Finance Specialist will play a critical role in managing the accounting and financial operations of Blue Sky Trails LLC, a subsidiary of Woodcraft Rangers. In addition to handling the day-to-day financial management of the LLC, this position will also support the CFO in developing financial strategy, performing financial analysis, and preparing reports for Woodcraft Rangers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, possess advanced Excel skills, and be comfortable working across multiple entities.
Responsibilities:- Accounting for Blue Sky Trails LLC:
- Manage all financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Blue Sky Trails LLC.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
- Assist with the annual audit process as it relates to the LLC.
- Financial Strategy & Analysis for Woodcraft Rangers:
- Support the CFO in developing financial strategy and planning for Woodcraft Rangers.
- Perform financial modeling, trend analysis, and forecasting to inform decision-making.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor program budgets and identify areas for cost optimization.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel to track financial metrics.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to senior leadership.
Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in both.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting practices, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in financial modeling, trend analysis, and data visualization.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Status: Full Time
