We are currently seeking a Finance Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be a key member of our finance team, combining operational expertise with strategic thinking to drive efficiency and support our organization's financial health. This role involves analyzing data to inform reporting, identifying opportunities to automate processes, and serving as a backup to the Controller. We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a strong ability to prioritize, think critically, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

● Process payroll and build data load files

● Manage A/R and A/P, including creating and processing invoices, performing weekly collections, and reconciling accounts

● Analyze financial data to develop insightful reporting for decision-making

● Identify, recommend, and assist in implementing process automations to improve efficiency

● Support expense reporting, reimbursements, and internal audits

● Perform daily account reconciliations and ensure accurate application of payments to the appropriate systems

● Serve as a backup to the Controller for critical finance functions

● Assist with financial planning, strategy, and other projects as directed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Proven ability to think strategically and analyze complex data

● Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines

● Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace (G Suite), with advanced knowledge of Excel formulas (e.g., IF statements, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables) and Google Sheets functions to streamline workflows and integrate systems effectively

● Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

● Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

● Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

● 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles

● Familiarity with process automation tools or systems is a plus
