Reports to: Director, Financial Controller

We are seeking a mid-level Financial Accounting manager to oversee and manage key financial functions, provide leadership within the accounting team, and ensure the organization's financial operations are efficient and compliant. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a leadership mindset, and a passion for driving financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Financial Oversight:

* Manage accounting operations for North America, including month-end close processes, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.

* Lead cash forecasting, OPEX forecasting, and spend analysis to support financial stability.

* Coordinate the preparation of the annual North American budget and financial forecasts, analyzing variances and providing actionable insights.

* Assist with preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and reports for presentation to senior management.

* Work closely with Danish parent company on monthly and year end reporting, process alignment, controlling commentary including variance analysis and improvement recommendations, and annual global audit.

* Lead change processes that may arise, including new global initiatives

* Review and approve expenditure including financial relationships and spend

* Internal Controls & Compliance:

* Develop and implement robust business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

* Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

* Lead audit processes and collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

* Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

* Strategic Financial Planning:

* Provide strategic financial analysis to support decision-making and organizational growth with capital expenditures and financing.

* Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

* Support cross-functional initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.

* Team Leadership:

* Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

* Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.

* 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.

* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

* Proven ability to manage financial processes, budgets, and forecasts.

* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

* A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.

* Experience leading month end close reporting, annual audit, budgeting, financial reporting

* Ability to think strategically and contribute to the company's overall financial planning and decision-making processes.

* Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support the company's mission and goals.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at various levels.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and develop a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build relationships with external partners.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
