Position SummaryThis position is an important member of the Tronair finance and accounting team. While operating without any direct reports, this position will have primary responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting of the Tronair family of businesses, including general ledger accounting and maintenance, period-end close process, multi-company consolidation, revenue recognition accounting, cash and other balance sheet reconciliations, fixed and intangible asset accounting, prepaid expense management, lease accounting, expense management and analysis and SaaS accounting. This position has significant involvement in the annual audit process. The right individual for this role will have the ability to develop and maintain a relationship with team members across many levels of the organization and the desire and ability to be an active partner amongst the group. In addition, this individual will seek to identify and operationalize process improvements and cost savings projects.The ideal candidate will be an energetic, engaged individual with a passion for accurate accounting and financial reporting, business partnership, and process improvement. Success in this role requires the desire and willingness to understand the nuances of the business and support the accounting and finance teams as they make decisions to support the business. This role will require one to think and act strategically, and scale as the business grows, with the possibility of continued career development and progressive responsibilities.Essential Functions
- Responsibility for all general accounting transactions, including journalizing transactions, preparing reconciliations, and completing specific reporting and analysis to ensure that the financial statements are accurate and GAAP compliant. Financial topics include but are not limited to general ledger accounting and maintenance, multi-company consolidation, revenue recognition accounting, cash and other balance sheet reconciliations, fixed and intangible asset accounting, prepaid expense management, lease accounting, expense management and analysis and SaaS accounting.
- Responsibility for completing GAAP accounting research and applying the results to Tronair business transactions.
- Responsibility for performing the period-end financial accounting close process, including the ERP system close.
- Responsibility for comparative period expense variance analysis.
- Significant involvement in various aspects of our annual audit and completion of various exhibits and audit requests to ensure an ongoing clean audit opinion.
- Support other projects as assigned by Controller or finance leadership team, which could include but not limited to future acquisitions, enhancements to the overall closing and reporting process, or ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related business major required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experiences preferred but not required:
- Active CPA license
- Public accounting or auditing
- Private equity portfolio company
- Multi-site manufacturing accounting
- Acquisitions and integrationsscaling analytical structure as the company grows
- Lender reporting and corporate debt management
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency including very strong Excel spreadsheet skills is critical
- Proven communication skills, as the role will entail significant cross-functional interaction upwards through the organization

- Occasionally stoop, bend, reach, push or pull
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Occasionally spend time in the manufacturing environment to complete assigned projects (assist with inventory, verification of cycle counts, etc.) At such times, a greater amount of physical exertion, standing and walking would be required.
