Applies expert or specialized knowledge to lead and facilitate cross-functional quality improvement teams using the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) or other Six Sigma road maps and Lean methodologies. Plans, directs, and coordinates the application of Six Sigma processes and the implementation of related policies, procedures and measures to improve the efficiency of operations and the workforce.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
* Develops solutions to complex or unusual problems that require considerable ingenuity and innovation relating to improving the effectiveness of operations and processes. Collaborates with Management to apply general direction to project selection, expected results, and reviews completed work for soundness and accuracy.
* Applies Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects in the accounting systems and processes. Identifies and manages resources required to successfully execute projects. Educates, coaches, and mentors Green Belts and others on Six Sigma philosophy and application. Teaches and transfers skills to team leaders, team members, and general audiences. Performs training and mentoring to others in solving process and work related problems.
* Applies advanced statistical methods and benchmarking techniques to analyze and resolve work problems utilizing performance metrics that accurately reflect the current state and sustained improvement of selected processes. Applies DMAIC, Lean, Workout, and Change Acceleration(CAP) tools to identify and implement sustained solutions in accordance with Six Sigma principles. Translates the concepts of defect and variability data collection activities to improve understanding of performance.
* Collaborates with internal process leaders to identify key opportunities for improvement of accounting processes to ensure internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded.
* Proposes process technology improvements and mentors Green Belts to increase business results and impact. Delivers process improvements and financial results through application of tools to projects or leadership of teams. Engages Champions, business leaders, Green Belts in driving change for customer and business results. Strategizes with leadership to integrate customer requirements into all activities.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.Minimum QualificationsEducation Requirements
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree.
Minimum Other. Black Belt certification.
If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.

Skills and Competencies
* Must be able to read and write the English language, perform basic mathematical calculations and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
* Operates standard office equipment and demonstrates competence in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
* Makes telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and makes formal presentations to small or large groups.
* Manages the configuration of SAP for accounting systems.
* Demonstrates knowledge and application of Six Sigma and Lean principles with Black Belt certification.
