**JOB SUMMARY**
The Financial Advisor serves a key financial resource role supporting the operations of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Hillcrest and Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH).

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE**
Provides financial support to administrators, department directors, and others as directed or required, to assist in the efficient and cost-effective operation of Hillcrest.
Prepares and manages reports related to the end of month close cycle.
Provides ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance investigation through preparation and review of both standard reports and reports which have been developed specifically for the entity.
Assists with annual operating budget process.
Supports the capital acquisition process and asset management.
Assists with proforma modeling for new services/projects/capital as required.
Analyzes financial information to ensure financial reports have a high degree of integrity.
Serves as a liaison between Hillcrest and other supporting finance functions of BSWH.
Creates basic/advanced adhoc reports from various systems as requested.
Conducts training on finance resources (reports/systems) for BSWH leaders as directed.
Assists department leaders with questions about various processes and systems.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
Enhances the financial reporting environment through efficient operating procedures.
The ideal candidate for the Financial Advisor role is knowledgeable of financial and operational reporting and has very strong leadership, management, analytical and communication skills.
