The Financial Advocate is directly responsible and accountable to the Patient Account Manager. The purpose of the Financial Advocate is to secure reimbursement for services rendered to uninsured and/or underinsured patients by assisting individuals in accessing and/or applying for Medicaid or other Federal or State assistance programs.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure: - Associate Degree preferred or minimum of 3 years experience
- Successful completion of Presumptive Eligibility training course within 90
- days
- Must obtain Certified Application Counselor certification within one year
- Prior experience processing HCAP/Charity applications preferred
- At least one year experience in healthcare billing
