Location: The Community College System of New Hampshire, System OfficeAnnual Salary Range - $66,626.56 to $83,283.20General Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, performs financial analysis and reporting in support of the CCSNH and its institutions for use in strategic planning, budget management, and managerial decision-making.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Assists with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.Develops and maintains financial models for various operational and academic departments and programs for use in strategic planning, budget management, and managerial decision-making.Analyzes financial data to identify revenue and expenditure trends, risks, variances, and opportunities for budget development and management, and improvements.Works with institutional leadership, faculty, and staff to gather relevant information for financial analysis.Supports the quarterly financial reporting process, including variance analysis, burn rates, and management reporting.Prepares ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.Assists in the evaluation of special project submissions to determine the program's viability.Assists in the development and standardization of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CCSNH policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and sound business practices.Works to continuously improve financial processes and systems to meet operational needs and enhance efficiency and accuracy.Complies with all college, system, state, and federal rules and regulations.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university.Experience: Four years' experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with direct experience with financial analysis and reporting.License/Certifications: Valid Driver's License or access to statewide transportation.Additional Desired Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, budget planning and monitoring, and financial analysis. Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, report, and present financial data. Understanding of and proficiency in navigating computerized financial systems (reporting, data mining). Proficient use of technology including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP solutions. Effective organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to express ideas and information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships with diverse populations and multiple constituents. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment in the performance of duties, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, recommend and implement solutions in a timely fashion.
