The Financial and Data Management Lead will lead and manage a team of CM Specialists and Financial Analysts to support the Program Office and SUPSHIP with data management and financial analyses of major shipbuilding construction contract, including managing CDRL process and metrics, updating financial reports, and ad hoc requests from program office and PMR. Serco is a leading support contractor to the US Navy and as such we work directly for PMS 400D, part of the Program Engineering Offices effort to procure and deliver the finest ships for our sailors and our country. As a partner with the US Navy in acquisition of the Navys Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer, Serco provides program management support, data management, production, technical, combat systems, test, configuration services, and overall project support.

This position requires attention to detail, willingness to learn new processes and awareness of customers daily needs. You will be part of a large contingent of Serco and Navy personnel supporting the Program Office team responsible for building & delivering multiple ships to the fleet. You will collaborate with some of the most experienced shipbuilders around in the country and have opportunities to gain knowledge and insight into the Navys shipbuilding and configuration processes.

In this role you will:

• Provide daily support to the Program Office team responsible for Engineering Services, Configuration and Data Management.
• Assist SSGC in execution of the DDG 51 Data Management Plan (DMP).
• Execute management of Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) data, submittals, and final Government correspondence and responses through the Program IDE.
• Conduct and lead ad hoc investigations into areas of concern and report findings
• Retrieve electronic data submittals from contractor IDE and other web-based data sites.
• Support FYS contract deliverables and monitor financials.
• Conduct financial analyses to identify missing data or discrepancies in reporting
• Assist SSGC and PMS 400D with metrics and reports as required for performance assessments, program meetings, and events.
• Review DDG 51 and contractor policies, reports, and guidance. Provide program recommendations to PMS 400D7 an SSGC for concurrence or resolution of issues.
• Participate, facilitate, and leads data management meetings.
• Provides agenda, meeting minutes, dial-in information, conference rooms, and other meeting materials as required.
• Lead and support personnel assigned to your team.
• Develop and present training to the team.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Ability to obtain and maintan a Secret Clearance
• Us Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree
  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of experience in data or financial management role or related experience.
• Experience collecting data and presentations for higher level review.
• Mid-level profiency and working knowledge in using Microsoft Suite Tools to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to use multiple programs on a computer, access information and conduct product searches.
• Experience with a variety of software applications on a PC.
• Eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work with a variety of personnel with varying levels of experience.
• Teaming attitude

Additional desired experience and skills:

• A current or active Secret clearance
• Experience supporting Navy shipbuilding program
• Experience in data keeping during a major ship construction program
• Ability to obtain Secret Security clearance
• Familiarity with shipyards and shipbuilding
