Position Overview
The Financial Center Manager will actively call on customers and prospects to promote company awareness, generate new business, and deepen and retain existing relationships. This individual must be willing to focus on business development activities to ensure achievement of goals developed as part of the Retail Banking Division's annual operating plan. In addition, the Financial Center Manager will ensure assigned office(s) comply with operating policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Directly responsible for contributing to achieving sales goals through loan and deposit growth, generation of fee income, and delivering service to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships.
* Makes proactive contact with customers and prospects to promote company awareness, generate new business, and deepen existing relationships.
* Responsible for building and maintaining a sales and service culture while demonstrating sales leadership in all activities.
* Sets goals, creates sales plans, and manages the sales process for assigned office(s) by providing employees with coaching and feedback, encouraging and reinforcing all sales behaviors and monitoring results.
* Makes customer service calls on present customers within the assigned market area to identify additional financial needs and ensure retention of the customer relationship.
* Maintains an awareness of new business opportunities with customers and actively refers and assists customers with obtaining specialized services from other departments.
* Serves as a member of the organization's sales team; makes group sales calls where these types of calls will improve the opportunity for new business development.
* Takes ownership of internal and external customer problems and/or requests, proactively seeks answers and/or provides solutions and follows up to ensure customer needs have been met.
* Actively participates in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization; Participates in civic, professional, business, and community associations to develop new business and promote the company's image in the community.
* Supervises assigned employees.
* Observes, coaches, and provides feedback to team to ensure excellent customer service.
* Provides guidance and support to team in resolving customer questions, problems, and concerns.
* Ensures that all office operations are performed in accordance with established company policies and procedures, either directly or through appropriate supervision.
Education & Qualifications
* A minimum of four (4) years' related work experience or specialized retail banking education and training normally required.
* Internal Supervisor Certification and Business Development Certification preferred.
* An Associate degree in related field preferred.
* Notary experience preferred or ability to obtain notary as needed.
* Ability to obtain and properly maintain a National Mortgage Licensing Registration (NMLS #) in order to take applications for loans that are secured by residential real estate is a requirement of this position.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to meet operating needs.
Skill(s)
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all products and services; knowledge of financial policies and procedures; supervisory skills sufficient to manage employees; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less; visual , auditory and speaking skills; valid driver's license is required.
