Golden Age Hospitality, the team behind Le Dive, The Nines, ACME, Happiest Hour ,Deux Chats, and recently opened Elvis, is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join the team.
The Role :
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of Golden Age Hospitality group. The core responsibilities are ensuring accurate financial statements, compliance with regulatory requirements and effective management of financial resources. This role includes strategic collaboration with the Director of Finance and managing bookkeepers/accountants.
What You'll Do :
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements in collaboration with our outsourced bookkeepers.
-This includes weekly financial snapshots, monthly P&Ls, and annual tax statements
- Conduct continuous financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancements
Accounting Operations:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable responsibilities, payroll, rent, and other general ledger activities
- Collaborate with restaurant managers and other department heads to provide financial insights and support operational decision making
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance and senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the GAH's objectives
- Handle all institutional banking relationships
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings
- Manage external audits with tax accountants
- Coordination for year-end tax returns
Insurance:
- Coordinate payment and renewal for all property-level and Golden Age corporate level insurance policies
- Assist operations in all insurance claims processes
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
- Project and accrue cash flow
Financial Systems & Technology:
- Evaluate and recommend any financial systems and technologies
What We're Looking For :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Ideally a CPA
- Proven experience as a Controller of similar role
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
What we offer:
- Annual Salary Range -$95,000 - $120,000
- Annual Bonus – 10-15% of Annual Salary
