This role, based in Richardson, TX, is crucial for the effective management of our accounting team. Job Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end close processes are performed in accordance with GAAP standards
- Ensure monthly reporting package is delivered to North American and international management team for review
- Manage of accounts payable and accounts receivable staff
- Calculate and report royalties and commissions to various stakeholders.
- Work with international colleagues on intercompany activity.
- Process quarterly GST/QST filings
- Prepare and analyze weekly cashflow forecast
- Prepare monthly bank reports
- Assist with formalizing a budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure timely processing of all vendor invoices & payments
- Manage the disputes for all customer chargebacks and deductions taken
- Oversee collections and credit limit decisions
- Become key player in forecasting & analysis
- Other ad-hoc projects as defined by management's strategic objectives
RequirementsQualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in a comparable role.
- Education: BA, BS, MBA or equivalent experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Successful candidate will be a self-starter, information seeker and understand the needs of a growing accounting organization
- Ability to multitask various projects to ensure all deadlines met
- Understanding of the complex nature of a CPG retail distribution model
- Experience using Microsoft Business Central, NAV or Dynamics ERP and Jet Reports is a plus
