If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, we want to hear from you!Job DescriptionTHE ROLE: Director, Financial SolutionsThe Director, Financial Solutions will be responsible for the team that provides support for internal A+E Networks' Accounting and Finance partners. This role will provide high level guidance for application support, analysis and documentation of user requirements/procedures and project management to offer new solutions and enhancements, provide production support to customers, automate processing, or improve existing business processes and associated business applications. This role will manage relationships with the business management team, external vendors, internal Software development, infrastructure and project management teams in providing system solutions and support for A+E's Financial ecosystems.MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:ManagementManage internal team, vendors and consultants in providing application support and enhancements to the current systemsManage software roadmap that ensures that current systems remain up-to-date on technology and business needsDetailed resource planning, allocation & forecasting. Ensure consistent processes for support & development including time tracking, task allocation, backup & succession planning, training and mentoringBuild a high performing team, foster open communication, transparency, highest level of integrity, trust & collaboration within & across the departmentsAbility to create development plans for staff to align with organizational & departmental visionTrack record of developing high-quality, complex software in a team environmentThe ability to break down complex processes into manageable components with well-defined interfacesThe ability to plan high level implementation strategy, to judge difficulty level, and to predict expected completion times for specific taskThe ability to define technical roles needed to effectively deliver a solutionAbility to present, with confidence, complex ideas in visual and consumable way to varied level of business usersBusiness AnalysisResponsible for Requirement Analysis, Functional and Technical Design and Production Implementation for In House and 3rd party applications for Finance systems.Provide detailed analysis of business requirements, processes and workflows that result in clear, concise and unambiguous system requirements.Review details of business use cases built to cover all proposed Finance business process flows.Understands the functions and processes provided by the current systems. Understand and accommodate the requirement constraints imposed by the current systems.Ensures business and technical requirements are understood, agreed to and signed off at the appropriate early stages in a project.Provides mock-ups of user interface.Leads design discussions and identifies design options.Identifies areas where technology, development of new systems or enhancements to existing systems and/or integration solutions can lead to increased efficiency and productivityWork with QA team to develop test schedules, review testing plans and support unit, regression and user acceptance testing for developed business and technology solutionsLiaising between Vendors, IT customers and Business groups to identify processes enhancements and system improvementsProvides user documentation for the system.Creates curriculum and provide classes for user training.Project ManagementEnsure that programs, initiatives & projects are delivered on-time. Manage risks appropriately & plan proactive mitigationRegular status reporting, including but not limited to project & support status, to IT leadership and business stakeholders.Alerts manager to potential risks and issues of importance.Application SupportWork closely with internal and external development teams in application support of current systems. This involves multiple 3rd party systems & in-house applications along with several interfacesWork with 3rd party product vendors, internal teams & infrastructures to identify root cause, provide fixes, workaround & ongoing maintenance & enhancements to Finance applicationsEnsure that repeat defects, break fixes are minimized & focus on analysis of issues and provide recommendation for avoiding common defects.WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: Director, Financial SolutionsOn our team, you'll have the opportunity to innovate and learn. Finally, you'll be exposed to various A+E departments and stakeholders to learn the goals, needs and direction so you can become a trusted partner.YOUR STORY: Director, Financial SolutionsB.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.Minimum of 8+ years of IT experience including 5+ years of IT Management experience.Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management/leadership of enterprise level projects.Knowledge of Finance business concepts, such as, month-end close processes, budgeting and planning, general ledger, treasury, accounts payable and account receivables.Strong experience with SAP or other ERP Systems; Preference for experience with implementing SAP for global organizations.Strong experience with budgeting and planning solutions, such as, SAP BPC and/or SAP Analytics Cloud.Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation/organizational skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.Excellent understanding of project management principles and experience in managing multiple projects.Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels.Highest level of ownership, accountability & integrity.Able to build a high-performing team through collaboration, mentoring and coaching.Being able to question, evaluate and make decisions on technology platforms.Desired:Experience with Business Intelligence related Reporting Tools, Visualization, Analytics, Dashboards, KPIs, Scorecards, Modeling and Predictive Analysis through tools and technologies such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.Knowledge of SQL is a plusCompensationAnnual Pay Range: $169,060 - $197,800Annual Incentive Target: 17.50%Theannual/hourlypay range displayed serves as agood faith estimate of the minimum and maximumbasepayrangefor this role.Compensation for the role will be based ona number of differentfactors such asa candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location, andexperience.
