Overview:The Financial Market Infrastructure Business Development team is part of the Client - Business Development organization responsible for driving core disciplines of investments, digital assets and strategic partnerships to deliver client solutions, create new business opportunities and impact the direction of market structure and growth.The newly formed Financial Market Infrastructure Business Development (FMI BD) team will be responsible for establishing the FMI business development discipline bringing enterprise wide, horizontal routines to FMIs with an aim to better address the FMI as a client needs while delivering higher returns.The FMI BD VP will be focused on leading the market structure strategy and advocacy to impact direction of infrastructure growth, enabling identification of mutual areas to develop forward looking partnerships and business development opportunities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist with formation of holistic market structure business development opportunitiesHelp drive origination and execution of new partnership opportunities, often in emerging business modelsEstablish and maintain external relationships with FMIs and industry partnersAssist with creation and implementation of framework for a firm-wide view of financial infrastructure and priorities for CitiWork closely with partners to help improve balance of trade and identify new investment opportunitiesCollaborate effectively with business leadership throughout product areas to align strategy and drive execution of prioritiesProvide internal support for regulatory working groups and committees with FMI focusProvide internal support toward advocacy for regulatory and governance in the (FMI) industry representing Citi s interestAct as a leader to support junior team Development Value:Development of commercial skills across the full suite of Citi s products and services, including Business DevelopmentExposure to highly visible global clients.Coordinate and foster global internal relationships.Exposure to Senior ManagementWorking in an open and multicultural environment.Knowledge/Experience:5 to 10y work experience within banking or financial services organizationsExperience with financial market infrastructures (Broker Dealers/Clearing Houses/ Exchanges) a plusTrack record with client coverage, with an ability to develop deep and trusted relationshipsDemonstrable knowledge of Markets, Payments, Custody and or Banking (CB / IB)Strategic thinker with proven ability to operationalize the strategyExperience with team managementSkills/ Competencies:Highly motivated, self-starterAbility to lead initiatives across the franchise and different stakeholdersExcellent analytical skills, with attention to detailStrong project management and business analysis skillsStrong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to multi-taskStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively produce documentationShows initiative in performing research, obtaining data, and conducting analysesDeveloping ability to lead and demonstrate presence through influence without formal authorityEducationBachelor/ University Degree/ Master's Degree------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Private Client Coverage------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Private Client Business Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$129,840.00 - $194,760.00In addition to salary, Citi s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
