Job Overview - Operations Financial Analyst:
Our client is seeking an Operations Financial Analyst to join their team in New York City. This pivotal role focuses on supporting the quarterly equity valuation processes, creating valuation committee materials, and leveraging technology to enhance data and reporting processes.
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Operations Financial Analyst:
- Valuation Processes: Support overall quarterly equity valuation processes.
- Material Creation: Help create valuation committee materials and other documentation related to the valuation process.
- Critical Task Support: Assist with materials, consistency checks, model reviews, and deliverables creation for senior management.
- Valuation Methods: Utilize knowledge of Discounted Cashflow, Market Multiple, and Precedent Transaction methods.
- Discount Rate Review: Review discount rates using the CAPM method.
- Model Review: Assist in reviewing model assumptions, consistency of market data, and perform independent reviews.
- Database Management: Manage portfolio and valuations financials/KPIs consolidation.
- Technology Leverage: Improve data, reporting, and analytical processes.
Qualifications for the Operations Financial Analyst:
- Experience: 3-5 years of valuation experience from an advisory firm or internal alternative asset manager.
- Valuation Skills: Experience building/reviewing valuation models with income and market approaches.
- Education: Background in finance, economics, or engineering.
