Job Description:

We are actively seeking candidates to fill (3) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager positions. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for overseeing the forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes for one of the three business vertical segments, which include Golf & Club, Fitness & Leisure, and Parks & Recreation. The candidate will work closely with the business unit leaders, particularly the business unit controller, and will provide strategic financial insights to support the organization's profitable growth. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management principles, and a proven track record of driving process improvements. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes for the segment.
  • Coordinate the consolidation and analysis of sales, product, and departmental budgets to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans and develop KPIs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads and senior leadership, providing financial insights and support to drive business performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making across the organization.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis such as quota/commission planning, pricing, profitability, or payments trends.
  • In concert with the business unit controller, lead the monthly financial reporting process, variance analysis, MD&A, and management reporting to analyze & interpret BU performance.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of regular financial reports and dashboards, providing insights into KPIs and variance analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the business unit controller and accounting team to investigate underlying transactions driving the financial trends.
  • Champion improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive data standardization across the general ledger and business unit inputs to ensure accurate data ingress to the corporate data warehouse and consolidated reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of quarterly board slides.
  • Evaluate and help integrate potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with peer FP&A team members to share best practices and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
  • Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to work with large amounts of data and convey trends, analysis, and narratives.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and financial software applications. Working knowledge of Sage Intacct, Sage Intacct Planning, or Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners and executives.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Capability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing, quick environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and stay flexible through growth and change.
