Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fund or investment-level performance analysis for external and internal reporting, adhering to standards like GIPS and NACREIF.
  • Manage and update ongoing capital forecasts for REIT portfolios.
  • Develop performance models and projections for both evergreen and closed-end fund strategies.
  • Prepare internal waterfall calculations for joint ventures and overall fund performance.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly investor reports, coordinating with Asset Management and Accounting teams.
  • Compile and prepare data for quarterly investor account statements.
  • Support quarterly and annual fair value assessments alongside Investment Analysts.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management to support investment activities.
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis on competitors in real estate and private equity sectors.
  • Work with Investor Relations to ensure data accuracy across ERP systems and investor portals.
  • Gather and compile data for third-party appraisals, coordinating with valuation experts.
  • Maintain records for fund performance calculations, both quarterly and annually.
  • Coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from investors, wealth managers, and auditors.
  • Develop responses to investor inquiries and due diligence requests.
  • Calculate investment returns and support the development of KPI reporting.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong data analysis and financial modeling skills.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment advisory, real estate, private equity, REITs, or joint venture structures.
  • Ability to interpret entity formation and investment offering documents is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics required; CPA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and investor reporting.
  • Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate across departments and respond promptly.
  • Excellent business references required.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Irvine, CA five days a week.
