We are a fast growing financial services firm seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join its corporate headquarters on a hybrid schedule, working 3-4 days in-office. In this role, the FP&A Lead will collaborate directly with the newly hired CFO to shape the future of the finance function and take on responsibilities that span company-wide profit and loss (P&L) reporting, budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and creating board presentations. This position also supports merger and acquisition (M&A) modeling and due diligence as needed.
The FP&A Manager will develop and manage comprehensive financial models to support scenario planning, budgeting, and forecasting, which are essential for strategic decision-making. Working closely with the leadership team, the FP&A Lead will help shape long-term strategic plans, set financial targets, and align business goals with broader corporate objectives. Creating impactful presentations and executive summaries for senior leaders, the role will highlight insights and analysis from the FP&A team. Special projects will involve financial analysis, market research, competitive assessments, and strategic planning initiatives, all designed to further organizational objectives. Additionally, the FP&A Lead will present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner, using data visualization to enhance stakeholder understanding and support informed decision-making.
With over 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, finance operations, or a similar field, the ideal candidate should have a background in wealth management, private equity, consulting, or corporate strategy. A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required, along with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience managing and consolidating forecasts and annual operating plans is also essential. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment and is adept at handling multiple projects. As the first hire to define the FP&A function, the successful candidate will foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance across the expanding CFO team.
