Position SummaryLeads the Financial Planning and Analysis process in the data collection, business analysis, development of tactical and strategic insights and presentation of recommendations to management and operations. Develops, interprets, and implements financial modeling concepts and techniques related to strategic planning, project management, budgeting and forecasting to drive key business results. Develops and consistently adapts the relevant business key performance indicators to execute on the strategic priorities of the organization.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a range of activities that support forecast/plan cycle delivery and monthly financial reporting support. This includes various aspects of financial statement modeling for Long Range Planning, Long-Term Growth Model (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow), People Cost Planning, Incentive plan modeling, and OPEX and CAPEX allocations to product detailed product profitability reporting.
- Provide a broad variety of analysis including variance analysis, trend analysis, division, customer, and product profitability analysis, etc.
- Work closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan
- Deliver competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
- Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts, and profitability
- Timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
- Oversees the creation and development of the profitability reporting needs of individual strategic business units.
- Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic initiatives, and other business decisions
- Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement
- Mentor and develop FP&A direct report, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree - Accounting/Finance or Technical field, MBA strongly preferred
- Working experience prior to, or concurrent to seeking MBA (4 - 8 years)
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization and development of BI and reporting tools, Microsoft Power BI experience preferred
- Strong quantitative abilities
