Job Description:
Custom Job Purpose:This position performs, under supervision, specific duties associated with each building's financial operation. This includes maintaining the building budget, student activity accounts within the guidelines set by the school district's finance office, coordinating and monitoring financial information including deposits and expenditures; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested by assigned building administrators.Essential Functions of this JobPerforms clerical and record keeping functions that involve significant detail, attention to accuracy and precision in performing the tasks in the prescribed manner required.a) Enters financial data into records either hard copy of data files/records in District computer files/records.b) Assists in compiling, researching information, and assists in revising/modifying financial reports.c) Maintains records for computer/technology incidents.d) Secures main office daily; turns off equipment, secures monies, secures windows and doors.u00A0Collects fees or monies for various program/building events.a) Processes yearbook ordersb) Prepares deposit receipts for the district office.c) Prepare invoices for overdue materials.d) Collects and processes payments for registration fees, parking passes, activity passes and yearbooks.e) Collects and processes payments, refunds, and paperwork for computer/technology distribution and maintenance and parking passes.f) Collect and process payments for various building departments.u00A0Maintains and shares level of professional expertisea) Attends training sessions, district in-services or staff meetings.b) Assists in special projects, as appropriate.Non-Essential Functions of this JobPerforms other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of the operation and program of the school. Knowledge of office practices and procedures, grammar, spelling, and business correspondence. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability to deal effectively and courteously with students, school personnel, and the general public. Ability to type at a prescribed rate of speed. Bilingual/biliterate preferred.Education, Experience and/or Certification/License RequirementsGraduation from an accredited high school or completion of GED, clerical, and secretarial office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Work Context:Requires sitting and some standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires work with both internal and external contacts, and with the public.Physical Environment:Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Requires sitting for the majority of the day, and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects infrequently weighing up to 20 pounds.
