Under the supervision of the Financial Services Supervisor, the incumbent will serve as a lead within the unit, overseeing a team of four Financial Services Analyst IIs. This role involves providing operational and financial services, focusing on policy and procedure expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, contract administration, and travel and entertainment administration. The position will be key in training finance support staff on accounting and purchasing functions, including Aggie Enterprise, Cognos, and GLIDE expense queries, external sources processing, accounts payable processing, and purchasing.A crucial component of this position is ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service to various stakeholders. The incumbent must demonstrate a high level of expertise in financial transaction processing and maintain a focus on quality service to support the Department's and its partners' needs.The Financial Services Lead will provide comprehensive analytical support in fiscal management for the Department of Internal Medicine. Key responsibilities include financial administration, billing and collections, accounts payable/receivable, travel and entertainment processing, and contract management. The incumbent must interpret policy and procedure guidelines to ensure compliance, organize work priorities to meet deadlines, and accurately maintain extensive files with backup documentation for all transactions.This position will also offer financial organization, administration, and analytical support by generating ad-hoc reports, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, and providing high-level support to the Financial Services Supervisor, Operations Finance Manager, Division Managers, and CAO. - Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Financial Skills
- Making purchases using established processes and policies, including understanding shipping terms, sales tax, and use tax.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes in making payments to vendors.
- Mathematical skills to accomplish budgetary, accounting requirements, analysis, accounting, and purchasing requirements.
