Financial Services Officer I (Relationship Banker/New Accounts/Loans) Position Summary: Financial Services Officer I (Relationship Banker / Loans & New Accounts Representative) As a Financial Services Officer I within our team, you will play a pivotal role retaining and growing our membership andconsumer loan portfolio by helping people and offering consumer banking done right The purpose of the Financial Services Officer I is to ensure exceptional member service by actively engaging and guiding members through financial solutions that meet their needs. As an FSO I you will succeed by inspiring members to act, using each interaction to educate members and promote products or services that benefit them. In the FSO I role you are required to drive tasks to completion, particularly in managing consumer loan applications from initiation to funding, while consistently meeting production goals. You will be responsible for performing a variety of financial services, such as opening and closing accounts and IRA's, onboarding new members, renewing certificates, and providing account maintenance. Your ability to approach each member interaction with the intent to uncover additional opportunities to serve is essential in the FSO I role. Other responsibilities of a Financial Services Officer I include processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. The core purpose of an FSO I is to foster member loyalty through proactive support, continuous engagement, and a focus on delivering results. If you are looking for a place with purpose and living out the credit union philosophy of people helping people, apply with us We can't wait for you to join our family Summary of Education, Experience, and Qualifications for Financial Services Officer I (Relationship Banker / Loans & New Account Representative) Education: 1) Minimum successful completion of a high school education or GED Experience: Six months to 2 years experience in credit union or banking; preference given to candidates with at least 2 years experience as teller, CSR, consumer loan processor at a credit union/bank institution or product and/or services sales. If no prior consumer lending in banking/credit unions, we require minimum 2 years in any of the following: Services and product sales (insurance, financing, auto or similar) Retail sales focused on upselling and personalized customer service. (To include cross-selling loan products; opening and closing accounts; maintenance of accounts; collection and input of member data; routine teller transactions; interviewing/assisting members with loan applications; calculating terms, charges and rates for disclosure on promissory notes; receiving, reviewing and processing related loan documents and other paperwork necessary in the loan process; disbursement of loans; closing of loans; preparation of documents, reports and maintenance of records) Required Skills and Qualifications: Possess intermediate level proficiencies in Microsoft Word and Excel Demonstrate ability to identify and upsell products and services. Demonstrate excellent ability to communicate both verbal and written. Demonstrates ability to successfully manage multiple activities and projects with competing priorities. Demonstrates having detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Possess welcoming and inviting disposition, and strong emotional intelligence. Professional, genuine, and self-starter attitude Cooperative and willing to assist others. Additional Skills and Qualifications: General understanding of related regulations, statutes, and filing requirements related to financial services. Knowledge of related computer applications and basic business equipment. Good typing and data entry techniques Must be bondable and pass background criteria if offered a position. Plus if applicant is bilingual (fluent proficiency Spanish and English) Compensation and Position Classification for Financial Services Officer I (Relationship Banker / Loans & New Account Representative) Pay Rate: Hourly, Non-Exempt $18.00/hour, plus monthly incentives Paid Bi-weekly. Monthly Incentive: Average $1,000/month and incentives are not capped.
