Job Description:
The Financial Services Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating with various teams, stakeholders, and vendors, and ensuring the effective allocation of resources. Assist director and senior management with compiling reports and analyzing requested data. Triages incoming communication through a variety of methods (such as email, phone, fax, mail and deliveries). Resolves questions or issues as appropriate and escalates remaining items for review, including acting as the first point of contact for vendor representatives who communicate directly with the department.Required Licensure: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plusLeadership Capabilities:Identify opportunities for improvement.Ability to coordinate, direct, and supervise the work of others.Ability to collaborate with leaders from other departments.Superior leadership, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.Fosters collaborative environment that encourages teamwork, communication, performance recognition, and attention to goals.*Essential Functions:Pose the questions necessary to help leaders determine the most beneficial projects to undertake when.Conduct a cost-benefit analysis with key project advocates and assess whether more efficient, alternative solutions may exist. Track and report on project expenses, identifying and addressing cost overruns.Work with key stakeholders to develop a project plan, timeline, goals, assign project owners, and other roles. Identify and allocate resources needed for project completion. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor progress. Manage the project portfolio in a way that helps leadership remain mindful of resource expenditure and overlap.Works with Systems Analysts to test and troubleshoot project concerns.Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates on project progress. Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, meeting notes, and status reports. Ensure that all project records are properly archived for future reference.Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts when necessary. Provide regular project updates to management, ensuring alignment with their expectations.Establish project milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs).Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.Address project issues or roadblocks in a timely and effective manner.Ability to work schedule as assigned and work flexible shifts. Ability to arrive to work on time as work schedule dictates.Oversee outgoing correspondence, such as by drafting memos, emails, reports and other communication for review and by sending approved drafts.Performs any and all other job duties as assigned.
