Financial Strategy Consultant Employment Type: Full-Time Job Site: Hybrid - 2 Days Remote & 3 Days in office supporting federal client in Arlington, VA. Andrew Morgan Consulting, LLC (AMC) is a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and HubZone SB. We are currently seeking a qualified Financial Strategy Consultant to join our team supporting our client the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Program Executive Office Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS). RESPONSIBILITIES: The Financial Strategy Consultant will assist the Program/Project Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team, and Cost Estimation Team in providing practical solutions and cost methodologies to the acquisition of Defense Health Systems. Strategic Planning and Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand organizational goals, mission, and objectives within the DoD/DHA financial environment.
  • Develop strategic plans for process improvement and portfolio optimization aligned with the overall vision of government leadership.
Process Analysis and Recommendations
  • Conduct thorough assessments of current business processes to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Use various tools and methodologies to analyze data and gather information on existing processes.
  • Leverage government and industry-leading practices in finance and budgetary management to suggest and implement business process improvements.
  • Provide recommendations and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and address challenges.
Project and Change Management
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional teams working on process improvement projects.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Assist in developing change management strategies to ensure smooth implementation of process improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams to manage resistance and foster a positive attitude toward change.
Stakeholder Communication and Training
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives, managers, and front-line employees.
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of process improvement initiatives.
  • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on new and improved processes.
  • Work with teams to ensure understanding and adherence to new procedures.
Metrics, Documentation, and Continuous Improvement
  • Define and establish measurable metrics and KPIs to track the success of process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze data to assess the impact of changes and make further recommendations.
  • Document current and proposed processes, creating process maps, flowcharts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of process-related documents.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in process improvement.
Risk Management
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with process changes.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following are of study: Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
  • 2+ Years in Federal financial management consulting.
  • Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team.
  • Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior government leaders.
  • Understanding of the federal government operations, program evaluation, and change management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience to assess and engage subject matter experts in addressing potential gaps or risks.
  • Knowledge of business process design, improvement, and data visualization toward client KPIs and mission objectives.
  • Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing environments
  • Experience working with DoD and/or DHA clients, understanding of the PPBE process, FYDP and POM a plus.

  • Responsiveness: Stay engaged, communicate promptly, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
