Reports To: Director of Financial Systems
Job Summary:
This role involves supporting accounting applications and systems, developing and executing ad hoc queries, custom reports, and data workflow processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and application support to users of financial applications.
- Detect and correct cost recovery upload errors.
- Build, optimize, deliver, and support new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and EDI.
- Assist in designing report solutions and processes to increase optimization.
- Develop data structures, SQL Views, stored procedures, and functions as needed for reporting/dashboards.
- Develop and support SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Generate standard and ad hoc reports via SQL and Reporting Services.
- Customize front-end Elite 3E reports and metrics to meet required specifications.
- Track, monitor, evaluate, and optimize reporting and dashboards based on end-user feedback.
Experience and Competencies:
- Experience with accounting software; Elite 3E experience preferred.
- Strong SQL skills with proficiency in SQL development, SSRS, and Power BI tools.
- Ability to learn general functional and technical aspects of the firm's financial applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with effective communication of results.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with IT members, firm members, and clients.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, and effectively under pressure.

- Availability and responsiveness to occasional after-hours issues due to near 24x7 firm operations.
Education and/or Experience:
- College degree required.
- 3+ years of experience in a corporate IT role, preferably supporting and customizing financial systems.
- Solid technical foundation and strong analytical skills for troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher preferred.
- Familiarity with query tools and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
- Knowledge of relational databases required.
- XML experience preferred.
- Advanced report writing experience using tools like SSRS and Power BI.
- Experience with core financial software applications such as Elite 3E, ChromeRiver, and Xcelerate strongly preferred.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping required.
