JOB SUMMARY Assisting with the preparation of journal entries, generating invoices, preparing monthly general ledger reconciliations, and financial forecasting for seasonal ticket usage and specialty jewel event reconciliations. This also comprises working with our finance department on any reporting requirements that is specified to the ticketing of MLB Global Events. We would look to this person to not only manage all financial needs primarily in the ticketing event field, but to review all processes and procedures on financial needs, providing feedback and implement new standards to create more efficiencies. Please note this is a hybrid position with on-site training. Responsibilities
- Building patron accounts, managing ticket inventory, billing clients, and reconciling orders for tickets allocated to internal departments using ticketing programs.
- Create pivot tables for month-end reporting in Microsoft Excel.
- Management of financial ticket reconciliation for various internal departments and external groups to ensure billing for all global events is done timely and accurately.
- Oversee compilation of all financial documents and reporting relevant to the planning and operations of ticketing Global Events, including budget forecasting items for Finance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required.
- Professional demeanor, self- starter, organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, technical accounting proficiency, effective problem-solving skills and strong ability to interpret accounting information/reports.
- Prepare analyses and reporting of financial data at the end of each month.
- Highly proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with ticketing programs such as Archtics, ProVenue, Ticketmaster are preferred, but not required.
- Analytical thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
