The ideal candidate is a dynamic advisory professional with advanced accounting advisory and IPO readiness experience. This leader will execute client engagement objectives will also building and supervising a team. Client projects will include:
  • IPO planning and readiness
  • SEC reporting, including MD&A and Proforma financials for registration
  • Initial public offering support
  • Complex accounting treatment analysis
  • Accounting standards implementation
  • Pre and post-merger acquisition accounting assistance
  • Accounting methodology conversion
This leader will have the opportunity to work closely with firm and local leadership to expand Weaver's advisory service offerings in the New York City market. The ideal candidate will have a strong local network and proven business development skills.To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • CPA or CMA certification
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, consulting or industry roles, including public company audit and/or SEC financial reporting experience
  • Strong integrated IT and ERP experience
  • Thorough understanding of complex accounting issues, current standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leading clients through complex financial transactions
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Master's degree in related field
