Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent Contractor in the Buena Vista, VA/Lexington, VA area, is seeking Finisher Carpenters to join their team!Finish Carpenter- Job Summary:
- Pay: $15.00 to $25.00 per an hour
- Shifts Available:
- Finish Carpenter will install Trim and Molding: Measure, cut, and install various types of trim, molding and baseboards
- Skillfully assemble and install cabinets, shelves and other storage solutions, ensuring proper fit, alignment, functionality, and aesthetics
- Install doors, windows, and related hardware
- Finish Carpenter will lay and finish hardwood, laminate, tile, or other flooring materials
- Construct, install, or refurbish staircases, handrails and balusters
- Fabricate and install custom-built furniture, built-in shelving, fireplace surrounds, and other unique features
- Appy siding, trim and other exterior elements
- Assess and repair damaged or deteriorating woodwork, restoring it to its original condition or upgrading to meet modern standards
- Coordinate with other tradespeople, such as architects, contractors and construction activities
- Adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment and ensure the quality and legality of finished
Finish Carpenter- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a finish carpenter or similar role, demonstrating mastery of woodworking techniques and tools
- Thorough understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and best practices, with the ability to interpret blueprints, plans and specifications
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders and routers
- Meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship, with the ability to produce high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations
- Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues and subcontractors
- Be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, stand/walk for long periods of times and lift up to 50+lbs. Work at heights, and exposure to dust, noise and other construction hazards.
