As a skilled finish equipment operator, you will be responsible for maneuvering various heavy equipment to achieve precise grading and finishing in accordance with project specifications.Requirements/Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have 3- 5 years' experience in heavy civil construction and heavy equipment operation.To be eligible for consideration, all applicants must possess a valid Driver's License.OSHA 10 certification and FDOT specifications experience preferred.Excavator, Skid Steer, Dozer, Loader, GPS technology experience preferred.Knowledge of excavator/backhoe loading requirements; load charts; critical picks.In-depth knowledge of finished equipment operation, traffic, and highway safety rules and regulations.Familiarity with precautionary measures to prevent accidents during heavy equipment operation.Understanding of potential hazards associated with heavy equipment usage.Proficiency in operating finish graders, excavators, pavers, or similar heavy equipment.Ability to comprehend, follow, and issue both oral and written instructions effectively.Capable of heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reachingMust have good vision, stamina, hand-eye coordination, and ability to estimate size and dimensions.Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.Able to work outdoors in dusty or dirty areas.Strong attention to detail and quality craftmanship.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.Adaptive to different personalities and management stylesTeam player with good interpersonal skillsDedicated and hardworkingResponsibilities:Safe operation of a Finish Dozer.Handling and/or moving material.Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance of equipment.Identify, report and correct hazards.Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances safety of the work environment.Complete equipment condition reports, as well as a daily checklist of work to be done on your equipment and provide to the Project Superintendent daily.Cleaning the machines regularly. This includes sweeping the cabs and removing trash daily, cleaning the interior weekly, and lubricating doors and windows bi-weekly.Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures. Know where all utilities within the work zone are located.
