Finish Technician
Primary Purpose:
The Finish Technician will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Finish Technician does this by developing and maintaining finishes. The Finish Technician also provides support to finish operations by maintaining Vendor Finish materials, equipment, colors (recipes) and process. The Finish Technician position completes these functions in the manufacture of furniture parts and pieces.
Description of Duties:
Identify a variety of wood species products including but not limited to the following wood species: Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers and make grade related decisions on a daily basis based on established Stickley standardsReports to their supervisor or Production Manager for daily directions and promptly report any questions or problemsRead, comprehend, and full fill production ticketsRead and Interpret part drawingsInspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracyCreates, maintains and replaces sample master panelsChecks the stained furniture to make sure it matches the samplesWork in the safest, most efficient manner per specifications and when no other jobs are noted as needed line up jobs in a manner that minimizes setup timeOperate assigned tools/machines using items such as color mixer, various types of measuring devices, sand paper, cheese clothes, gloves, sander and spray gunsMaintains vendor finish materials, equipment, colors (recipes) and process We offer a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package that includes:
