Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will complete the production process of the carton by performing the following duties:
- Remove bad cutting and stripping before placing cartons into the machine feed.
- Visually inspect cartons as loading feeder to detect color or quality deficiencies.
Feeder functions and responsibilities:
- Operate the folding and gluing machinery.
- Assist the operator in detecting machine jams or malfunctions.
- Visually inspects cartons as packing into master cases to detect color, quality, or gluing deficiencies.
- Stack cartons into the machine feeder to keep feeder full and machine running.
Packer functions and responsibilities:
- Pack the required number of finished cartons into master cases by packing handfuls of glued cartons in master packing cases.
- Place the master cases onto the conveyor belt to be sent on to the case sealer.
- Maintain the physical structure of the establishment by keeping the work area neat, clean, and safe.
- Must be capable of keeping accurate records, including the completion of all required forms; and the accurate use of different measuring devices including tape measures, and all other applicable gauges for your responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
